Shop network & storage cabinet
A cabinet concept to organize shop networking, power backup, storage hardware, and cables. Equipment measurements and access needs come before the final cabinet design.
What the project should do
- Keep networking and power equipment accessible for service.
- Provide an orderly cable path and space around equipment for ventilation.
- Choose storage compartments around the hardware that will actually be installed.
Decisions ahead
- Measure the intended equipment and leave room for connectors and service access.
- Choose fixed shelves, removable shelves, or a rack-based arrangement.
- Decide which devices belong in the cabinet and which should stay elsewhere.
